Role and Purpose of Design Reviews Panels

The Landscape Institute South West is hosting a panel debate and Q+A session about the role and purpose of design reviews with a focus on landscape architects.

Design review by an independent panel of experts is an increasing part of the pre-application planning process now embedded in NPPF. Landscape Architects' expertise is much needed to help steer and inform future development.

The panellists include:

  • Julie Tanner, Design Review Panel Manager from Creating Excellence South West

  • Michele Lavelle, 4D Landscape Design

  • Sarah Foque, Natural infrastructure officer at Plymouth City Council

  • Paul Osbourne, LHC and former Exeter City Council
